SERVECENTRIC to Invest €1m in New Cloud Computing Platform

  • New cloud platform, Kloudcentric, has received €250,000 investment to date
  • Servecentric targets Irish value added resellers (VAR's) with new service
  • VAR's can design, build and deliver an IT environment to their customers in 30 minutes

Servecentric, the data centre managed services company, today announced a €1 million phased investment in its new cloud computing platform Kloudcentric. Servecentric has completed phase one which includes a €250,000 investment to bring the service to market. The company is targeting Ireland's value added reseller (VAR) channel with the new Kloudcentric service. These VAR's will own-brand the service and sell to Irish business seeking to reduce capital expenditure and to enterprises that need to significantly scale their IT infrastructure.

Developed over eighteen months, Kloudcentric has been built on Fort Technologies' 'MyWorld' cloud management software. This enables Servecentric's channel partners to deliver a one-stop-shop solution for designing, costing, building and managing complete IT infrastructures for multiple customers using both the technical and business tools within the software.

By logging into the secure online portal, customers can design their complete IT environment inclusive of servers, business applications, networks and security. Services can be turned up or down depending on the level of service required. IT solution templates can be designed and rolled out to many customers from a single template. The in-built drag and drop designer, costing tool, provisioning engine and management and monitoring interface gives the VAR and their clients real-time visibility of their IT environment.

Servecentric's new cloud service has been developed in partnership with Fort Technologies, Ireland's leading provider of cloud computing management software, which has invested more than €700,000 in the development of its cloud software.
