Servecentric clinches hosting deal with leading FRENCH ONLINE Retailer CDiscount
- CDiscount chooses Ireland as its regional headquarters for the UK and Ireland

Servecentric, the data centre managed services company, today announced it has won a three year managed hosting deal with CDiscount, a European leader in online retail. This follows a recent announcement from the IDA that CDiscount has selected Dundalk as its regional headquarters for the UK and Ireland.
CDiscount is the online trading division of Group Casino of France, one of the world’s largest retailers with 10,000 stores worldwide and €28.7 billion in annual revenues. To facilitate its European expansion, CDiscount made the decision to open its regional headquarters for the UK and Ireland in Dundalk, Co. Louth. In addition, to ensure the security and availability of its IT systems and websites at all times, CDiscount elected to locate its IT infrastructure into an Irish data centre facility. Servecentric was selected based on its blue chip clients, its managed hosting capability and security record.
Servecentric is hosting the www.CDiscount.co.uk website and will also host the soon to be launched www.CDiscount.ie website. The CDiscount websites carry a range of over 80,000 products from IT, household appliances to clothing and sports equipment and includes some of the world’s biggest brands discounted at up to 65%. Servecentric is providing a managed hosting infrastructure, direct access to global networks and 24x7 technical support to ensure constant uptime.
To protect CDiscount’s sensitive customer data including purchase history and delivery contact information, Servecentric is also providing managed security and managed firewall services.
