Leading Irish Data Centre operator Servecentric has been accredited as a PCI-DSS 3.2 Compliant Service Provider.
Servecentric is delighted to announce that we have been accredited as a PCI-DSS compliant Service Provider. Our business is built on providing highly available Data Centre services to clients and obviously, security is an absolutely critical element to these services. To this end, in conjunction with the ISO 9001 and ISO 20000 standards, our business was already ISO27001:2013 certified (This certification relates to Information Security Management and includes a great deal of common ground with PCI-DSS).
We understand that although ISO 27001 has significant standing in Europe, that the Standard is less meaningful in the US and also does not cover requirements set out by the Payment Card industry. These two factors were our primary motivation behind attaining the accreditation.
To achieve our compliance, we needed to ensure our existing processes, procedures and corresponding documentation were aligned with the PCI-DSS requirements and then engaged a QSA (Qualified Security Assessor) to guide us through the process and to validate our Self Assessed Questionnaire (SAQ). Ward Solutions, one of Ireland’s leading Information Security Providers, provided the expertise to see the project through.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards designed to ensure that all companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. Servecentric has been independently audited by a QSA (Qualified Security Assessor) to be PCI-DSS 3.2 compliant.
